A very traditional ballet that I saw while in NYC.

However, it was incredible christmassy, and subsequently earns 4*!

So much goes into this production, and it has remained largely unchanged since it debuted in 1954.
All the moving scenery is done by hand, with huge teams ready to pull or push the various components.

The lighting too had not changed - banks of profile spots shon onto the stage. Not a mover in sight!
